Privacy and texting terms

What the request form collects, where it goes and how long it stays.

Privacy

This page covers what this website collects and how texting works. Our web manager, Kevin Woolf of Woolf IT Solutions, runs the site for us.

On preview copies of this site, the form sends nothing and stores nothing.

What the form collects

The form asks for the service you need, your town, your first name and your phone number. You can also add a street address, details about the job, your preferences and how you found us.

Your browser also notes where you came from:

  • The domain of the site that sent you here
  • Any tracking tags in the link (UTM tags)
  • The first page you landed on

This stays in your browser session and is sent along with your request.

Why we use it

Only to reply to you about the job, and to count how many requests come in.

Where your request goes and how long it stays

  • Greg's phone: the full request, as a text. It stays until Greg deletes it.
  • Our web manager's mailbox (Kevin, at Woolf IT Solutions): one email copy of the full request. A mailbox rule deletes it after 12 months.
  • Twilio, the service that sends the text to Greg once automatic alerts are on: the text sent to Greg. We blank the message after 30 days. Twilio says that when a message is deleted, its text can stay in Twilio's backups for up to 30 days.
  • The site's database (Cloudflare D1): a short record with no name, address or notes. It includes a coded fingerprint of your phone number, used to spot repeat requests. We keep it for 24 months.
  • Cloudflare logs: outcome codes only, never what you typed. They are kept for 3 to 7 days.

Until automatic alerts are on, Kevin texts each request to Greg by hand.

If your browser doesn't run JavaScript, your request goes to our web manager's email. A short record is also kept in the site's database. It isn't texted to Greg automatically. Kevin forwards real requests by hand.

Taps, cookies and bot checks

When you tap Call or Text, we count the tap with the page and the button's place on it. We add only a general category for where you came from. We collect no personal data with taps: no IP address and no cookies.

We don't use tracking cookies. To count visits, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies.

On the Contact page, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is sending the form. It uses signals such as your IP address and browser details.

No sharing

We never sell or share your phone number or text consent with anyone for marketing or promotional purposes.

Deleting your request

Needs Greg's OK (G1, K10):

Call or text (863) 219-8717 and ask us to delete your request.

If not confirmed, launch shows:

Call (863) 219-8717 and ask us to delete your request.

Kevin deletes the database record and the email copy, and blanks the Twilio message. Greg deletes the text on his phone.

Texting terms

We don't send automated texts to customers. If you text us or ask us to text you, Greg replies personally. Reply STOP to any message and we'll stop.
